If I back up my data with an external hard drive, can I use only one external hard drive for both Yosemite and Windows 8? And if I decide to remove the boot camp partition and reinstall it, will I be allowed to use the same product key for windows 8 as I did the first time?

HI Bladimir Hernandez Basically no. You need to make sure you select the correct size when you create the Windows partition first up. There is some 3rd party tools that may do this. However this is not something that I will help people with. If you want to resize the partition properly I suggest removing the boot camp partition and reinstalling the Windows all over again.
